More and more schools worldwide are incorporating steelbands (steel drum bands) into their music programs.
Steelpans (steel drums) are relatively new instruments and teaching methods are constantly evolving. Method books, scores and other instructional material are not readily available outside of Trinidad which can make the teacher's job quite stressful!
That's why forums like this one are so important. They provide opportunities for open discussion and collaboration among steel pan teachers from around the world.
